She then interest in acting after being exposed to international media, including K-dramas. After come back to Korea, as expected, she studied at Dongguk University, majoring in Theatre and Film. Since then she graduated in February 2013.
While still being a student, she participant in 2005 with an SK Telecom commercial. Her acting career actually kicked off in 2006 with the hit High Kick! Acting the role Kang Yoo-mi, a quirky high school girl. Initially nervous about starting in a comedy rather than her dream of romantic dramas, this role opened doors for her. After that she keep trying different series like I Am Sam (2007) as a gangster’s daughter and Hometown of Legends (2008) as a gumiho. Before her breakthrough in Sungkyunkwan Scandal (2010), which launched her into Hallyu stardom.
