Min-hyun love for music and performance shone early. He is a self-taught piano and always perform on the stage. Spotted by Pledis Entertainment at 15 when eating grilled chicken with a friend. Early Career:
Hwang kicked off his career in 2012. He was actually the lead vocalist of NU’EST. His bold single face catch fans attention. Long before that, he popped up in Orange Caramel’s Shanghai Romance music video and as a model at Seoul Fashion Week.
Hwang Min-hyun built a loyal fanbase in NU’EST. His population keep rising in 2017 on Produce 101 Season 2. Finishing ninth, he earned a spot in Wanna One. This is a project group that became a global brand reportedly earning over $70 million during their 2017-2019 run. Hwang got a Nickname “CEO Hwang” for his leadership.
However, Wanna One disbanded in January 2019. After that, Hwang returned to NU’EST until their disbandment in March 2022. Min-hyun choose the solo music path. Also more focus on acting, as a result extending his contract with Pledis Entertainment to chase his dreams.
