Seo attended Dong Seoul College, studying Fashion Design, but dropped out after a semester to pursue acting. At his 19, he moved to Seoul working part-time as a barista and tutoring to fund auditions. After all, he joined Fantagio in 2013 as part of the actor group 5urprise, he adopted Seo Kang-joon from Gunpo’s river, “Joon” for charm.
Seo is actually started his career in 2013 with 5urprise on After School. This web series playing himself in a comedic role alongside Gong Myung.
